The Kabisig, in cooperation with the Rotary clubs in Davao City and government agencies, will commemorate the 23rd EDSA People Power Revolution I with the "Kabisig People Power Government Expo 2009" , a one-stop information exhibit which aims to spread the good news about government by showcasing their various profiles, service facilities, programs, projects and accomplishments. It will be held at the lobby of the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building from February 23-26, 2009.
On February 25 at 7:00 a.m., a special commemoration program at the People Power Monument ( fronting San Pedro Cathedral) will be alsso held. It will be followed by a one-day medical, dental and blood-letting activities at the Rizal Park area.
Kabisig is "kapit-bisig" or linking of arms, a collective effort towards unity and progress. It means that people must come together, work together, struggle together for a common cause. It embodies the spirit of uinty , cooperation and self-help. This is why the motto of Kabisig is "magtulungan tayo"
The information exhibits that Kabisig conducts yearly aims to supplement the information campaign of government Many Filipinos do not know that there are about 240 or more government agencies and instrumentalities and the services many of them offer. The exhibits place many government agencies under one roof for easy access to information and services.
