The "Kabisig Gov't Expo and Trade Fair - A Tribute to President Cory" is a series of Philippine Government information exhibit nationwide by region beginning October 19-23, 2009 in Davao City for Region XI, on January 25-29, 2010 ( in time for President Cory 85th Birthday) at SM MOA or SMX and February 22-25, 2010 at SM Norh EDSA or SM Megamall for Metro Manila and in other regions ( schedule will be announced later)

This is a one stop showcase that will feature the profile, service facilities, projects, programs, products and accomplishments of government different government agencies and instrumentalities including GOCC, GFI, LGUs, NGOs and POs.

Kabisig Gov't Expo and Trade Fair at KCC Mall Gensan

The Kabisig , in cooperation with the City Government of General Santos , is conducting the "Kabisig Gov't Expo and Trade Fair" for Region 12 on May 11-14, 2009 at KCC Convention and Events Center at General Santos City . Expected to participate are regional offices of the national government agencies based in Region 12. This will be joined by the provincial and municipal LGUs including NGOs and small and medium enterprises. This is a one -stop information exhibits that will feature the various profiles, service facilities , programs, projects, products and accomplishments of the government. The aim of the project is to spread the good news about the government. Admission is free.

KABISIG COMMEMORATES PEOPLE POWER I

The Kabisig, in cooperation with the Rotary clubs in Davao City and government agencies, will commemorate the 23rd EDSA People Power Revolution I with the "Kabisig People Power Government Expo 2009" , a one-stop information exhibit which aims to spread the good news about government by showcasing their various profiles, service facilities, programs, projects and accomplishments. It will be held at the lobby of the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building from February 23-26, 2009.

On February 25 at 7:00 a.m., a special commemoration program at the People Power Monument ( fronting San Pedro Cathedral) will be alsso held. It will be followed by a one-day medical, dental and blood-letting activities at the Rizal Park area.

Kabisig is "kapit-bisig" or linking of arms, a collective effort towards unity and progress. It means that people must come together, work together, struggle together for a common cause. It embodies the spirit of uinty , cooperation and self-help. This is why the motto of Kabisig is "magtulungan tayo"

The information exhibits that Kabisig conducts yearly aims to supplement the information campaign of government Many Filipinos do not know that there are about 240 or more government agencies and instrumentalities and the services many of them offer. The exhibits place many government agencies under one roof for easy access to information and services.
